Department of Electrical Engineering

I. Introduction

Department of Electrical Engineering, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) has its predecessor named Department of Agricultural Electrification that was established in 1963 with the task of teaching the basic subjects such as Electrical Engineering, Electrical Drives, … for the Agricultural Mechanics, Forestry and Fishery Engineering. First-generation teachers are:

Mr. Vu The Phi

Mr. Duong Ngoc Duoc

Mr. Dang Van Nhieu

Since 1996, Department of Electrical Engineering has been established with the task of teaching basic subjects for Electrical Engineering Major and others, such as: Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Food Technology.

In the trend of developments of electrification and automation, Dep. of Electrical Engineering was restructured following the Decision No. 508/QD-NNH dated March 20, 2012 (Partially forming into Dep. of Automation). Dep. continues with the task of teaching basic courses for Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology and Food Technology.

In training and In training and scientific research, Department has many cooperation with other universities, such as: Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hung Yen University of Technology and Education, Electric Power University, University of Electro-Communications (Japan).

In 2017, Department of Electrical Engineering played an important role in developing the program of training in Mechatronics Engineering Technology that enrolls students from school year 2018-2019
