On the afternoon of August 27th, 2018, at the JW Marriott Hotel, the first meeting of the opened council of Faculty of Engineering of 2018-2019 school-year took place opened with the content of Training Orientation for 2018-2021 period.
Participating in this meeting, besides the members of the Council, there are also some guests who are scientists of the Faculty.
After the introduction of the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Minh Lu – the chairman of the Council presented the content of "The project of training orientation training of Faculty of Engineering in the period of 2018 – 2021". The project has fully stated the objectives, orientations and contents of the plan, while also points out the advantages and difficulties in implementation.

Participants in the meeting discussed positively and contributed important ideas for the direction, tasks and solutions to make the proposal clearer and more feasible. The main priority tasks for this period is that the renovation of the curriculum content, the teaching methods, the extension of the undergraduate education sector to meet the social needs. The meeting also discussed about cooperation between the Faculty and other organizations within and outside the university in the implementation of training activities, scientific research and scholarship opportunities for faculty members and students.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nhuong suggested that the training of the faculty should be associated with modern production and enterprises. He also affirmed his willingness to accept the students of the faculty to have internship program his company with the modern machinery and equipment. At the same time, the company will annually award scholarships to outstanding students of the faculty.
In addition, the members of council also listened to many ideas of Assoc. Prof. Luong Van Vu, Assoc. Prof. Bui Hai Trieu, Prof. Tran Nhu Khuyen and Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thiet … about the development strategy of the faculty.
On the development strategy, Mr. Vu Quang Hoi- the President of Bitexco Corporation has pointed out the current development direction of some famous universities in the world He also proposed directions for development of Faculty of Engineering in the coming time. He promised to support the faculty to connect and invite experts to assess the potential of the faculty and plan development strategies. At the same time, he will provide students with access to practicality and creativity through scholarships offered by the Bitexco Corporation.
In general, the meeting was successful, completing the basic contents of the program. At the end of the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Minh Lu believed and expected that the members of the council will develop their sense of responsibility, professional prestige in order to create a development orientation of the faculty more and more stable in next time.

After the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan – Director of the University attended the party invited by Mr. Vu Quang Hoi – Chairman of Bitexco Corporation. Prof. Lan has direct ideas and contributions to the Faculty project. Besides, Prof. Lan also discussed to have more opportunities for cooperation between the Bitexco Corporation and the Faculty of Engineering as well as the university in the coming time.
